The "Haus Am See" is a unique residential house design that stands out for its respect for nature. The interior and exterior of the house seem to merge, with the structure integrating the surrounding trees into its design. One tree even grows through the house, demonstrating the designer's commitment to preserving the natural environment. The house's wooden facade blends seamlessly with the ancient oaks and chestnuts, creating a modern tree house that respects its natural surroundings.
The house was built using sustainable materials, with the ceilings, floors, and walls made of pine wood and the thermal insulation made of cellulose fiber. The facade is made of vertical narrow larch slats, and the roof surfaces are extensively greened. This sustainable design approach aligns with the growing trend towards environmentally-friendly architecture, demonstrating that it is possible to create stunning designs while minimizing environmental impact.
The "Haus Am See" is not just a beautiful design, but also a functional one. The house has a living area of 610 m², with a loggia and patio. The load-bearing structure of the building is a steel skeleton standing on 40 diagonal stilts spread across 10 individual foundations. The house also features built-in cabinets made by a carpenter and large sliding windows that offer stunning views of the lake.
Despite the height of the living level, the house offers a close connection to the lake. The large kitchen-dining room is the heart of the house, where the family can come together and enjoy their meals. The architect has also ensured that the house can be divided into three units if necessary, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to design.
The "Haus Am See" is a testament to the power of innovative architecture. The design respects and integrates the natural world, creating a harmonious blend of interior and exterior. This approach has earned the design the Golden A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award in 2022, a prestigious accolade that recognizes outstanding and trendsetting creations. The "Haus Am See" is a shining example of how architecture can respect and integrate nature, creating stunning designs that are both beautiful and sustainable.
